About The Client

The client is a reputable UAE-based brand specializing in traditional Arabic menswear. With an extensive presence of over 35 branches across the UAE and Oman and supported by in-house manufacturing capabilities, the brand is recognized for its commitment to high-quality garments. It seamlessly combines traditional tailoring techniques with modern production processes to serve a diverse clientele that values authenticity, craftsmanship, and customization.

Project Overview

As part of a comprehensive tailoring and production tracking web platform developed collaboratively with a larger team, we contributed a custom measurement system that streamlined how tailors collect client measurements across branches. While the overall platform was a joint effort, this particular module was proposed and designed by our team to better align with the client's day-to-day workflow and operational needs.

Originally envisioned as a static form, the solution evolved into a dynamic, visual tool that allows tailors to input and organize measurements with greater ease and clarity. The outcome is a faster, more accurate data entry process and a flexible system built to adapt as the client's needs grow and evolve.

The Challenge

The client initially requested a basic, static form where tailors could manually enter client values, inspired by the outdated system they were already using. However, after a deep dive into their workflow, we identified several key limitations that would have made this approach inefficient and difficult to scale:

  • Tailors were using an outdated static system that lacked flexibility and did not support their evolving measurement needs.
  • Different garment types required distinct sets of measurements, which the static form could not handle efficiently without clutter or duplication.
  • Tailors needed a more intuitive, visual interface to better understand and accurately map measurement points.
  • Errors often occurred because users manually amended or added fields with a pen to capture extra measurements beyond what the form allowed.
  • Adjusting or adding measurement fields required code changes, making the system difficult to scale and maintain over time.

These insights led us to propose a smarter, more flexible solution aligned with how their tailoring teams actually work.

Our Solution

We recommended, and successfully delivered, a dynamic, visual measurement module that replaced the rigidity of a static form with flexibility, clarity, and centralized control. This new approach empowered tailors with an intuitive interface and allowed easy management of measurement categories and input types.

Key Features

  • Tailors can upload reference images like body diagrams or garment sketches and place input fields directly on them for accurate measurements
  • Users can add and position text fields, numeric inputs, and dropdown menus on top of the reference image
  • Fully responsive design that adapts smoothly to tablets and small screens used in branches
  • Exportable print layouts for easy in-branch printing of measurements
  • Configured inputs feed directly into the Order Booking module, ensuring the form adapts dynamically to the selected garment type and client details.

Technology Stack

The application, including the custom measurement module, was developed using a robust and modern tech stack designed for performance and scalability. On the frontend, we built custom React components from scratch to maximize adaptability and responsiveness, paired with a fully customizable theme crafted using pure SASS for complete control over styling. The backend is powered by Node.js, supporting a fast and efficient system architecture. While certain elements of the stack remain proprietary, this foundation ensures a platform that is not only high-performing but also ready to evolve with the client's future needs.

Results

Tailored to support both day-to-day tasks and long-term growth, the system brings clarity and control to the measurement process:

  • Tailors now use a visual, intuitive interface that reflects how they take real-world measurements, making the process faster and more accurate
  • Administrators can add new measurement categories and input fields without developer support
  • Inputs are structured and categorized, providing consistent and reliable data during order booking
  • The system is flexible and scalable, allowing new tailoring methods or measurement styles to be added without code changes

Impact & Metrics

  • 30% reduction in time required for tailors to capture client measurements, thanks to the intuitive, visual interface.
  • Significant decrease in measurement errors, leading to improved garment fit and customer satisfaction.
  • 100% adoption rate across all branches within the first two months of deployment.
  • Ability to quickly add and manage multiple garment styles without additional development effort, improving scalability.
  • Streamlined order booking process, reducing manual data entry errors by an estimated 25%.

Why It Matters

This module wasn't just a feature, it marked a strategic shift. Rather than settling for a rigid, form-based solution, we guided the client toward a more modern, scalable, and visual approach to working with clients.

It's a clear example of how the right technical decisions, backed by thoughtful business insight, can drive lasting operational improvement.

Client Testimonial

"Before, our tailors struggled with an old, static form that just didn't fit how they work. It was slow, confusing, and led to a lot of mistakes. As part of a larger system upgrade, SeenByte stepped in with a fresh approach, a simple, visual tool that lets tailors enter measurements directly on diagrams. It made the whole process faster and much easier to get right. Now, our tailors are more confident, errors have dropped, and every branch has embraced the change. This small part of the system has made a big difference in how we serve our customers."
